Students are exposed to the guiding principles and philosophies of natural resource management in the context of ecosystem management. Following completion of this program, students will have the specialized training and technical skills for entry-level positions that can lead to accelerated advancement into supervisory and/or management positions. Opportunities exist within private, state and federal agencies such as the California Department of Fish and Game, Cal Fire, U.S. Forest Service, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Careers abound in the areas of fire suppression and management, outdoor recreation, interpretation, wildlife management, and watershed management.
